Hello,my name's Rob, I was born in south-east England about twenty years ago.I had? fairly normal childhood, but as i?grew older i became a trifle bored with the life that seemed to be set out before me. After rather than going to university as i felt this might be a more rewarding experience.Whist on my travels i came across the delightful town of yangshuo as well as the wonderful people of zhuoyue English college. I volunteered at the school for a few weeks but as money &time were tight. I had to continue on my journey towards England and home. From that moment on i couldn't escape the thought of teaching in zhuoyue,some might say it was my destiny. After completing my teaching course in January and saving enough money was ready to embark on my second journey to the east. I've only been teaching for a few months, but already yangshuo feel like home adn i can only hope tha it wiil be for? future... |

living in China for 14 months and I'm a fully qualified
teacher. Last year i taught in Hangzhuo. I fell in
love with Yangshuo while travelling and decided to
return and work here for a year. I like sports like
football, rugby, walking and badminton. I really enjoy

Simon, an experienced outstanding foreign teacher
from Birmingham, England. He has already taught for
nearly two years in Yang Shuo. He teaches step by step,
has a simple but profound teaching attitude, and has
brought great encouragement and confidence to every
student, especially beginners. What people admire the
most is his patience with the students. The students
fall in love with his classes, and he is well received
by the students of Zhuo Yue. In addition, his humorous
personality, always brings a burst of laughs to his

Hello there.
It is very difficult to condense 44 years into a single paragraph. I will however try my utmost to satisfy the school requirements and herein submit this as a brief record of my past history.My work in the past has been focused mainly within the entertainments industry, primarily that of a theatrical nature. I have also worked in the television, music and film industries. I am now in China to share these experiences with any enquiring mind.I believe China and its people will benefit from a foreign influence and perspective however small. Any developing country needs some assistance if they wish to become modernised and contemporary. I understand also that this may take a very long time and require a great deal of patience but we have to start somewhere. Furthermore, I have personal interests in China of which I wish to express but unfortunately the space I am allotted is far too small to support this display.I look forward with anticipation to meeting you, not only in a teaching capacity but also as a friend.Change is inevitable, cease the opportunity with both hands or be left behind to sulk and wonder of what could have been. We are restricted only by our own parameters, and of course, the lack of cash.

My name is Roland and I was born 23 years ago in a small European country called Holland. My mother language is Dutch and my second first language is English. I have the same problem as the Chinese students in our school; I started with zero learning this language. But I really enjoy learning languages, so in the last years I also learned German, French and Spanish. Now I am trying to learn the Chinese language and in January I will start with Swedish. In my home country I am still a student. My major is history and I’m about to specialize in Chinese history.
