Welcome to Zhuo Yue English College! Our school (established in 2002) is located in the beautiful town of Yangshuo, Guangxi Province, in the south of China. We just opened an impressive new campus in a very comfortable part of town. Bars and cafes, fashion boutiques and souvenir shops, a winding river and towering karst formations…they all surround our school! There are many tourist attractions and spots for entertainment within a 5-minute walking distance. There is easy public transport to nearby cities and many other places such as Hong Kong, Macao, and Chengdu. Local transport is comprised of motorcycle-taxis and walking. The farthest place in town is the harbor – a 20-minute walk. Apart from the excellent activities, and most importantly, we have comprehensive English language programs.

    Zhuo Yue’s English College immersion classes are for all students, from beginner to advanced. These classes are designed to increase communication skills and cultivate a full understanding of the English language. Our lessons focus on communicative language skills with an emphasis on speaking, listening, grammar, pronunciation, reading and writing. Programs run all year.

    Yangshuo is a clean, safe and friendly tourist city with a mild climate. The Li River runs through the heart of town, and offers such activities as bamboo rafting, fishing, and swimming. The mountains (or more exactly ‘karst formations’) that dot the town are the sight for climbing, hiking, and abseiling. Other activities include exploring caves, biking into the countryside, and drinking cheap beer at one of the many beautifully quaint bars that line the famous West Street. Most importantly, Yangshuo is an ideal place to learn English due to the many Westerners who call this place home.

    Zhuo Yue English College has several dormitories, ranging in quality from high to higher, to accommodate teachers and students with different needs. Zhuo Yue also employs several highly experienced chefs to prepare lunch and dinner for the whole school, Monday through Friday. Meals are served family-style, with nearly unlimited quantities. Some of the daily leftovers are used to feed the school’s new puppy, Xiao Bai (Little White). She’s adorable.!! Weekly extra curricular activities are arranged year round. The school maintains a department for student assistance as well as provides free academic counseling services. After-class additional instruction is always available – we’ve found that sometimes one-on-one training is what works best.
